Ion Intensive Shine Color At Home

By  |

Hey Beauties, hope you are having a great day.  I have missed you guys, it has been a few days or so but I have been busy.  Busy playing in my hair, and not really sure of what I am doing these days lol.  Here is my results.

I have been coloring my hair at home, and the first time I colored my hair it didn’t quite come out what I visioned.  Now, let me start by saying that I know color.  I just think I was feeling over excited when I was bleaching my hair, so I decided to do something new.  Add a little red to my hair.  I did not love the result, and I couldn’t get used to it so I decided to change it.

It was not my intention to color my hair again, but I had to change it.  This time I used a permanent color that I knew would work.  I used ION Intensive Shine Darkest Brown shade 2N on my hair.  I chose 2 for a brown base, and N to neutralize out most of the unwanted tones in my hair.

This color was so easy to use, I mixed it and applied it to my hair and let it sit for about 20 minutes.  It evenly tone and neutralized those different hues and I love the result.  I wanted to share this with you guys in case you are in a situation and need to color your hair this will work easily for you at home.  I don’t feel a difference in my hair, it is not hard or damaged.  My hair still feels soft which is a surprise to me because my hair does not always feel so good after chemically altering my hair.

To style my hair, I roller set my hair.  It didn’t quite come out like I planned because I used the wrong rollers.  I need to purchase the green rods to get a tighter roller set.  But, in the end the look that I was going for was achieved.  I wanted my curls stretched out without curling them, so this was actually a success.  Here are the steps that I used to style my hair:

Steps

Shampoo hair with Texture ID shampoo and Conditioner

Spray Texture ID Leave In on the hair

Apply Texture ID Thermal Multi-Styling Foam

Brush with Denman Brush

Roll With Rollers

Dry for at least 1 hour

Overall, I am happy with the color.  My hair feels so soft, and my texture did not change.  The next time you are considering coloring your hair at home, give ION a try and let me know how you like the color.  This post does contain affiliate links, if you decide to make a purchase I will receive a percentage of the order.  Thank you for all of your support.  I will see you all on the next blog post.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
