Texture ID Products Sally Beauty Review

By  |

Hey Beauties, and I am back with another review!  I found another product that worked magic on my kinky 4b hair so I had to share it with my favorites (you)!  If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you already know that I am a Licensed Cosmetologist with 12 years of experience.  While we learned lots back then about relaxed hair, I have had to learn really on my own about natural hair.  With the exception of a few hair classes from hair shows, natural hair is not something that was learned in school while I was there.  So now, natural hair is popular, trending and most people have it or is either thinking about having it lol.

My goal is to help everyone who has curly, kinky, coiled tresses to make their lives easier by finding products that work.  Not only finding products that work, but also sharing the techniques used to create the look is my overall goal.  Salon hair can be achieved at home, with little time, and minimum effort.  Sally Beauty supplies has lots of different products that work on texture hair.  I have been shopping at Sally Beauty supplies for many years now.  Sally Beauty supplies sent me Texture ID to try, and I am so glad they did.

When I initially received the products some months ago, I only did a wash and go with the products from Texture ID.  Although the style came out nicely, it did not come close to the results that I achieved today.  Here is the final look.

Here are the products that I used today.

Texture ID Products

Texture ID Thermal Multi-Styling Foam– this foam has so much moisture, it is thicker than the normal styling foams that I have used in the past. A little goes a long way with this foam.  This foam offers heat protection up to 450, and has wheat protein to strengthen the hair.

Texture ID Styling Cream– this styling cream help moisturize my dry ends from coloring in the past.  It also offer a medium hold which was perfect for this style.  This styling cream has shea butter, and argan oil as ingredients.

Textured ID Deep Conditioning Masque– a deep treatment that adds so much moisture to my hair.  I used a hand- held steamer with this masque.

Intense Moisturizing Leave In Conditioner– this leave-in is light on the hair, but also adds that extra layer of conditioning that natural hair requires.  This moisturizer has Aloe Vera extract, and Coconut Oil as ingredients.

Styling Tools

  1. Hair Pick- great for detangling natural hair
  2. Hair Clips- for seperating the hair
  3. Perm Rods- I used both colors.  I started at the bottom with purple rods, and used peach rods at the top.

How To Tutorial

  1. Starting with clean hair, section hair in 4 parts.
  2. Spray leave- in conditioner to the hair.
  3. Starting with the section that is being rolled, apply thermal foam to the detangled hair.
  4. Apply styling cream to the ends of the hair before rolling with perm rods. The styling cream will add the hold that is needed and will also smooth then ends while rolling the hair.

Another added bonus, the products range up to $8.99 which makes them more reasonable than most natural hair products.

Have you mastered the rod set on your hair?  Have you tried Texture ID products?  Let me know as I love to hear from you.  If you like this post let me know, and I will see you on the next blog post.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
