Korean Skincare Haul With SokoGlam
How many of you guys have tried Korean Skincare? I know you have heard about the 10-Step Korean Routine. Well, it has really become an obsession of mine. Korea’s cultural obsession with healthy skin is backed by decades of scientific advancement.
Really, it is not about the number of products that are used, but rather having the right products that can do the right things, and of course using them in the right order. The order can seem a little complicated, but here is how the order goes:
1
MAKEUP REMOVER
& OIL CLEANSER
2
WATER BASED
CLEANSER
3
EXFOLIATOR
4
TONER
PREP
5
ESSENCE
6
TREATMENTS
7
SHEET MASKS
8
EYE CREAM
NOURISH
9
MOISTURIZER
10
SUN PROTECTION
Today, I am sharing my review of various products that I have used and I want you to know how I feel about them. I will not be sharing a 10 Step routine, but rather different selections of products that I have tried.
I always start with an oil cleanser, because I always wear makeup. What I love about this oil cleanser from Julep, is that it does not clog my pores and it easily removes my makeup. The makeup literally melts away and is simple to rinse off. This facial cleansing oil that melts away makeup and impurities without stripping the skin. The lightweight, antioxidant-rich oil blend is formulated for all skin types.
Have you ever used a sugar scrub on your face? This Youthful Glow Sugar Scrub by Klairs is everything and it feels so good on my skin. It feels so warm, and it left my skin clean!
It’s a 3-in-1 prodigy that functions as a pH balanced cleanser, mild exfoliator, and a moisturizing mask for sensitive skin. Which is perfect for me because I have extra sensitive, problematic skin.
It nourishes and hydrates the skin, and it buffs it so clean but at the same time, my skin was not left irritated, or dry. My skin felt smooth, brightened, and it had a nice natural glow. I used this as a quick scrub, but it can also be used as a 10-minute treatment, or as a makeup removing cleaners.
I have a thing for peel- pads lol. I love the way they feel on my skin, and I am always so happy with the way my skin feels after using them. Well, today I tried Neogen Dermatology Bio-Pell Gauze Peeling Wine and I was in heaven! Honey, this smells amazing- it kind of reminded me of a raspberry wine.
It comes with 30 single-use exfoliating pads, this product provides gentle yet effective exfoliation of dead skin cells and impurities, leaving skin smoother and clear. Dead skin cells are sloughed off the surface of the skin using the unique 3 layer pad technology, as lactic acid penetrates deep into your pores to clean out pore-clogging debris.
Its star ingredient, Resveratrol, comes from red wine and is naturally fermented, with naturally occurring AHAs that also help with the exfoliation process. This explains why this smells so amazing!
Have you ever used a product that contains snail? As interesting as it sounds, it’s actually just as interesting to use lol.
This essence has 96% snail secretion filtrate for super intense repair and hydration. It is super intense. I have combination skin, and I have an area on my face that has a dry patch and it actually helped this area smooth out so I am impressed.
So Snail mucin has the ability to repair dry patches, acne breakouts while helping with hyperpigmentation so this is my new best friend. It’s great for all skin types too.
Acwell Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner deep cleans, and brightens the skin and is perfect for all skin types. This toner has a pH level of 5.5 to effectively balance your skin. Peony extract and a high concentration of licorice water – both natural brighteners – seep into skin to add an extra dose of luminosity to your complexion.
Green tea extract also helps calm and reduce pigmentation, including acne scars and dark spots so you know I love this one!
Benton Tea Tree Cleaning Water– this can be your makeup remover, with one easy step. I love this water. I have never used a tea tree cleansing water so I was stoked when I tried this one.
Made with 70% tea tree leaf water, this cleansing water goes beyond simply removing stubborn makeup and impurities, and actually infuses skin with acne-fighting tea tree leaf extract oil in addition to the tea tree water.
I am an advocate user of essential oils, so I was familiar with tea tree acne fighting abilities. This cleansing water cleanses the pores while treating them with antibacterial ingredients to keep pimples from forming!
As I move closer to 40 in a few days, I am incorporating more anti-age skincare in my life. Lately, I have added more collagen and moisture products to my skin care routine in efforts to slow down the aging process.
Time Stop Collagen Ampoule– This ampoule is formulated with 76.52% mushroom extract to stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of wrinkles.
Panthenol, sodium hyaluronate, and macadamia seed oil combine to intensely hydrate skin, while aloe and Centella soothe irritation and redness. This special formula also contains a patented ingredient that is a blend of licorice, persimmon leaf, and other botanical extracts rich in antioxidants, to brighten, soothe and strengthen skin.
Waterfall Moist Balanced Hyaluronic Acid 100– If you struggle with dryness, this ampoule will be the secret addition to your routine that will change everything!
Just a few drops help plump and hydrate skin, making it appear smoother and firmer over time. This powerful booster infuses skin with intense moisture without using harsh ingredients or potential irritants like parabens, artificial fragrance, silicones, surfactants, and mineral oil. I can finally say goodbye to dry patches and rough skin.
Dr. Oracle 21: Stay A-Thera Peeling Stick– if you need targeted spot treatment in your life, this is it. It’s powerful and these sticks effectively clear pores and blackheads. The cotton swab allows for precise application, I like it because I can get into the small areas like around the nose.
