A New Protective Syle That I Am Loving With Flat Twist
When you get a lot of compliments, you realize that it must be a pretty style lol. Who else reacts this way? Because I had so many compliments this look, I knew someone would like to know the details so I am here sharing.
This look is no more than flat twist, and flat twist are pretty simple to do. They are two strand twist down on the scalp that creates a crimped look. I recently learned a new technique that stretches the twist by using bobby pins to stretch out the twist.
The bobby pins really help, they stretch the hair and minimizes the shrinkage. Shrinkage for those that do not know, is when the hair shrinks and appears to be shorter than it really is. The bobby pins help stretch and flatten down the hair, creating an elongated curl.
For products, I used Curl Charisma Chia and Flax Seed Coil Custard by Briogeo, and I wrote a blog about this product in the past. It is a thick cream, and it is so good for my hair. I needed something like this because I just colored my hair so my hair needs hydration. It leaves my hair moisturized, and I do not have to keep applying this to my hair. I use it once when I first shampoo my hair.
For the second and third day, I lightly mist my hair with a spray bottle of water and I retwist the same way as the picture. This style will last 7 days. This is a great protective style that really works well for my hair and it’s simple to do. I cover my hair at night with a bonnet and it is ready in the morning, completely dry.
Do you love this look? Would you give it a try? Do you like seeing hair tutorials and would you like more of them? Like this post and leave a comment so I will know. Thank you for stopping in, until next time!
