What’s​ In My Makeup Bag This Week

Who else is here for the details on the new makeup?  I love a good haul, and although this may not be a real “haul” as is just a few items, I am stoked.  I love trying out new makeup.  So today, I went to my local CVS and I picked up a few new products to try and because I loved them so much I had to share with you.

Details:

NYX Total Control Drop Foundation– I have this in a few different shades, in the picture I am wearing shade 15.5.  This foundation is perfect for oily skin.  It mattes quickly, and dries really quick so you do have to work fast.

Because I have such oily skin, I struggle with most foundations to get that matte finish.  I am normally left with a greasy, oily, dewy finish that I do not like.  Usually, I use setting powder or translucent powder to get the matte finish.  With this foundation, it does matte alone without the setting or translucent powder.

NYX Mineral Matte Finishing Powder– this powder is the key to setting the face for a flawless look.  I love this powder because my makeup looked fresh throughout the day.

NYX Wonder Stick Highlight and Contour Stick– Not a favorite- at least not with the Total Control Foundation.  This stick was difficult in blending, and I did not love how it felt on my skin.  It felt thick and greasy on my skin and was tough to blend.  I will try this highlight stick again, but I will try it out with a different foundation this time.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream– Oh how I love this lipstick.  This right here is a great drugstore find!  It is true to its name in every sense- its soft, creamy, and it is so matte.  My lips were moisturized throughout the day with no cracking!!!  Yes, a major thumbs up for me because I have drier lips.  Normally, I have to do the most by applying oils or some moisturizer to my lips to avoid cracking.  I now own several shades of this product lol.

Loreal Paris True Match Lumi Shimmerista- this highlighter is not for the shy type- this highlighter is a bold move.  I love it because it does shimmer, and it leaves such a pretty glow.  The two shades that I have used a perfect for my skin.  Highlighter can be hard to find for my complexion- some of them leave me looking ashy.  I do not do ashy lol.
