Summer HairCare Products That I Love

By  |

This is a sponsored post with Briogeo, all opinions are mine.

When you find products that make life so much easier, don’t you just love sharing it? I am so glad you guys are here so I can do just that.  I must admit that it is a challenge having type 4b hair, the truth is everything just does not work on my hair.  I am guilty too of following people who hair is completely different from mine, and then only being disappointed when the products do not work for me.  I try my best to only try products that are used my similar hair textures, this way I won’t have a disaster.

Have you been there before? As a Licensed Cosmetologist, normally it’s all about product knowledge.  The truth is, that in my opinion only works for relaxed hair.  When it comes to natural hair, it really is all trial and error.  I wanted to share a brand with you who I recently became acquainted with over the last few months.

I have been using Briogeo for about 6 months now, they are a newer brand.  They create natural hair products that is like hair food for your hair.  So today, I used Briogeo Superpack shampoo and conditioner.

WHAT I LOVE:

97% naturally derived

6-Free Hair Care:

No Sulfates.

No Silicones.

No Phthalates.

No Parabens.

No DEA.

No Artificial Dyes.

WHAT IT IS:

A nutrient-rich, green juice inspired shampoo and conditioner duo that will quench parched strands and help deliver vital daily nourishment to the hair and scalp.

WHAT IT DOES:

This green-juice inspired shampoo is packed with matcha and apple to cleanse and help nourish hair without stripping it of moisture. The conditioner is an infusion of kale and apple to nourish and hydrate the scalp and hair. By harnessing the power of fruit and vegetable fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, this regimen will support the vibrancy of hair and is the perfect compliment to your wellness routine.

SAFE FOR:
Color-treated, keratin treated, chemically-treated, and relaxed hair.

The shampoo is a really good cleanser, I had a lot of build up in my hair and after two shampoos all of the product was removed.  That can really be important when you use as many products as I use. I wanted to start with clean hair, that’s why I did not do a cold wash.  If you are wondering a cold wash, includes only using conditioner to clean the hair as opposed to real shampoo.

The conditioner left my hair feeling soft, smooth, with juicy curls.  I loved the results of the conditioner.  It worked perfectly for my texture.

I also used Briogeo Curl Charisma.  It’s a cream made of Chai and Flax Seed Coil Custard. It creates juicy, bouncy curls bringing out the best in your texture.  I am pleasantly surprised by the results.  My hair is soft, smooth, and the product is not flaky.  I do believe a little goes a long way, and like anything, if too much is used it will be a fail.

I coiled some of my hair, but I also did a flat twist on the rest of my hair to create the look I was going for.  I love the way my hair turned out.

This Coil Custard definitely enhanced my hair.  For all the naturalistas out here challenged, give it a try and let me know how you feel about it.  I am interested in hearing from you.  Thank you for stopping in, and I will see you on the next blog post.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
