What’s In My Makeup Bag This Week

By  |

So stoked to share with you my amazing go-to products this week.  Although I have to be honest, most of these products have been in my makeup bag for months lol.  If you have been following you know that I have a few staples that I always go back to.  Why right?  Well, the truth is they work, and they always work.  I love consistency just like you.  My goal is to share with you weekly what I am using, that’s why it’s called weekly lol- in case you were wondering.  Here is the look that I am sharing the details on for today’s post:

Yes, they are all really used products lol- so not the prettiest picture.  I wanted to share though lol.

Here is a clear list:

Foundations and Concealers

Julep Cushion Complex 5-in 1 Perfector with Tumeric– so far my favorite foundation- it can be used alone without priming or anything.  It doesn’t settle within my fine lines- that’s why I love it.

Julep Illuminating Treatment Primer– great for the illuminating glow and filling in those pores.

Anastasia Creme Contour Kit Light- really great for contouring before applying foundation.

Pur Cosmetics Cameo Contour Stick- this is great for that really dark contour that we sometimes need.  I like the dark shade.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer– perfect for concealing dark spots under the eye.  This is a great brightener for under the eye.

Eyebrows

Anastasia Dipbrow Kit Dark Brow- it’s perfect for really filling in those brows.

Anastasia Beverly Hill Gel Brow- I love it because it really defines the hair in your brows- it’s kind of the seller point lol.  It’s a must have- I can tell the difference when I do not use it.  It’s great for sculpting the hair in your brows.

Mac Studio Concealer Duo- perfect for cleaning up those brows, it’s all I use.  It’s lightweight, and I love the creaminess.

Eyeliner

Kat Von D tattoo liner- This innovative wand does the most- for perfect precision application, this one is my favorite.  A no smudge liner that last- it stays all day without fading- and don’t get me started on cracking it does not crack either.  It’s perfection.

Blush

Crown Pro Glam and Glo- one of my favorite contour blush bronzer sets.  It’s great for shading the cheekbones, jawline, and along the side of the nose, and forehead.  Then, I take the blush and really add warmth to the face.  The illuminating shade is for the higher points of the face like the bridge of the nose, tips of the cheekbones, and the point of the chin.  It’s my secret glow without the use of a highlighter.

Eyeshadow

Naked Urban Decay Heat Palette- for those warm colors that I love.

Translucent Powder

Maybelline New York Shine Free Loose Powder- the perfect setting powder for that matte look that doesn’t cost the most.  I apply this all over the face to produce that matte look you always see.  They have several shades to accommodate everyone- I use Light 01.

These are my go-to staples, what are yours?  Have you tried any of these products, and if so how do you like them.  I love to hear from you- leave your comments below.  See you on the next blog post!

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
