Contouring With Julep Cushion Complexion 5-in-1

By  |

Have you heard of Julep Cushion Complex 5-in-1 skin perfector with Tumeric?

This multitasking skin perfector has a natural, demi-matte finish with buildable medium-to-full coverage that conceals, corrects, illuminates, blurs & brightens.

The convenient cushion tip applicator allows for easy and precise application, even on the go. Use it to spot correct and conceal, or all over as a foundation.  I love this applicator, it feels like you are drawing on your face with a pen so skilled and precise.

Anyone can use this, the applicator simplifies the makeup application. If you want to contour your face, this would be my new go to.  Contouring of course can be done with any two or three shades.

I just found that this little skilled wand makes it all so simplified for anyone to achieve a flawless face.

So what’s in it?  5-in-1

Turmeric Extract

Provides long-term brightening benefits and contains anti-inflammatory properties. Just the idea that makeup can help brighten your skin imperfections sounds amazing.  I absolutely love this!

Camellia Seed Oil

Contains skin-calming properties and provides nourishing & moisturizing benefits. (Sourced from Jeju Island, South Korea)

Soft-Focus Powders

Blur the look of fine lines & imperfections while creating a smooth, demi-matte finish that’s never flat.

To use:
During first use, twist bottom several times to prime. Product will dispense onto cushion tip applicator.

Apply with your fingertips, or with a makeup brush…you know my preference is a brush.

So about a month ago, I just began wearing this foundation.  I have to say that I am very impressed with the results of my makeup looks lately, and it appears that my makeup game has improved.

Why right?  Well, other than practice makes perfect lol, I believe that changing foundations sometimes can help.

I know I was telling you guys that lately I have had more likes, follows, and shares of my makeup looks….overall more engagement on my social media since I have made this switch.

It’s remarkable what one small change can do for your appearance.  It really can be a game changer.  The look of your foundation, the look of your brows, and the look of you blended eyeshadow does make a statement.

Even if you are not wearing the most expensive brand of clothing, and high end hair you can still be the prettiest in the room.

I have added a look of me wearing the foundation, and I will also share my latest Youtube so you can see it in person. Watch this 5-in-1 Cushion Complexion Foundation transform my skin.  Here is a picture of the look:

Steps:

  1.  Start with a great primer, here I used Julep Blank Canvas Treatment Primer.
  2. Brighten under your eyes with the perfect contour shade for you, and I used Kat Von D Shade and light creme contour palette shade Banana.
  3. Go in with three shades of foundation to contour your face, here I used Julep Cushion Complex 5-in-1 Skin Perfector with Tumeric.  My colors are shades 320 Under eye, Amber 400, and 420 Mocha for deep contouring.
  4. Went in with a bronzer to bronze my face a big more, adding more depth to my cheeks with a little pink blush.
  5. Set your face with a Translucent powder to take the shine away.
  6. Finish with your favorite Lip gloss, here I used Lorac Disney Pirates of the Caribbean Me Heartless shade.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog.

Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
