How to Pull Off a Bold Makeup Look – Featuring a Little Glam

By  |

Oftentimes, we see beautiful pictures of bold makeup looks flying all over the Gram, Youtube, and sometimes Facebook makeup groups. While these looks are beautiful, sometimes we tend to shy away from wearing them ourselves. You may wonder how this look can be achieved and still appear polished? It is very simple to achieve this look in elegant, clean, classy way. In this blog, I will give you a few tips to creating a bold face, and I will also share some beautiful glam that you must try!

Colored eyeliner
You may think whoa, I am not trying this lol. It can really, really make the difference in the face. As a matter of face, here is a picture from another post that I wrote. This can be done, if worn with a neutral lip. I always suggest if you decided to do a bold eye, soften the lip it keeps the look from looking too busy.  This look is especially perfect for brown eyes.

Beauty hack for brown eyes:  Make your eyes really pop by swiping along your lash line with a liner in a contrasting color, with a color like vibrant blue or purple.

Check out Pinterest for other colored eyeliner looks that you can try.

Cat eye
Use a damp brush dipped in black or brown powder eye shadow to create a flicked line. This method is less harsh-looking and more forgiving than liquid or gel liner, and if you make a mistake, you can smudge the line for a smoky look.

Glowing skin
Want a glowy, dewy skin finish but afraid you won’t be able to properly apply highlighter? Use illuminating  primer instead create a beautiful glow. The right primer takes your complexion from dull to darling! Simply blend it on for the look of brighter, smoother skin prior to applying foundation.

A bold lip
Try a few amazing shades of matte lipstick that are intense and bold. The best way to wear them is to wear minimum eye shadow just so the look is not over powered.

I have always been in love with all things beauty. From a little girl I would say that one day I would be a Cosmetologist. I did it, I became a Licensed Cosmetologist in 2006. I have learned so much about how to wear makeup, how to style the hair, and how to maintain the overall health of hair that I decided to create a blog. Being beautiful creates confidence, and flawless hair and makeup can help us all create that image we want to be. I want to help you step out of the box, try new makeup looks, and new hair ideas, new skincare regimens to make life better. You can live colorful, cosmetic, and be creative everyday give them some maxwell house coffee mmm, mmm good, and leave the tea home lol. Enjoy!
